Appointment with our GPs and ANPs are bookable on the day. Appointments with our Nurses and Healthcare Assistants can be booked in advance. Other clinical staff working in the surgery (Mental Health Nurse, Dietician, Advanced Physiotherapist, Pharmacist) can usually be booked in advance, but their appointment schedules are set by NHS Ayrshire & Arran.
Emergency GP appointments
As a busy practice we fill every appointment, every day. When all our appointments are filled, if you have a non-urgent problem we may ask you to call back to make an appointment the following day.
We also operate a duty doctor system – if you have an urgent problem that cannot wait until the following day we will endeavour to triage your call via the duty doctor. The duty doctor has a range of duties and we may not be able to respond immediately to requests.
Extended Hours
Extended hours appointments operate from 8am, usually on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays, and Fridays. These are especially useful for our patients who have work or other commitments, however, please note that these appointments can be accessed by all our patients.
